Default Replacement Plates & Matching Dishracks

Well, in case you've been wondering what I've been doing for the past few weeks...this is it.  :P  I've been teaching myself how to make Default Replacement Plates with Morague's Mini-Replacement Tutorial.  I love to swap out dishes for my households.  And let's face it, we all enjoy those heartwarming family dinner pics.

For me, it's important that every sim gets their own style and color choice.  And since I can't afford Lenox, my simmies will!

I promise, I'll get back to simming soon.  Recoloring is highly therapeutic for me and a break away from the game.  *smiles*  I hope you guys enjoy these!  Get them at MTS2.  (link is below the pic)  I'll be doing more plates/dishracks in the future.

  1. Aren't you clever?! They look lovely. I like how you have the gold rim around the edges - nice touch.

That's a cute idea to swap out plates for different households. I just leave mine in until I get sick of them. I'm due for a swap out though, so I might give yours a shot. :)

My security word is "matchem", which is oddly appropriate!

  2. Ohhh! I really like these, and thanks for linking up the tutorial. I've been dying to get some fiestaware and Catherineholm designs (both are what I collect) into my game. I'm going to use yours in the mean time, and also borrow the idea of swapping out. I won't for all of them, but I think one of yours would be perfect for my Millett family, I think Norma would be all over it!

  3. Oooh! These are really pretty! I think I'll probably switch mine out now (I don't even remember what mine look like lol). Thanks! I don't think I'd remember to load up a different set for each family. I'm always starting the game and forgetting to put something in.

  4. I'm glad you all like them! Thanks so much for your wonderful comments.

Maisie, once you get the hang of it, it's a breeze to make! I hope you share yours, as well. (I'm a collector of default replacements. hahaha!)

And Danielle, welcome to my little blog! It's great to see you and I hope you have fun with these different patterns. More to come in the future...but, right now I think I need to get back to blogging. My Sims don't live unless I play. :P
